Pivotal Events Kickstarting My Spiritual Awakening
My spiritual awakening initiated in the year 2021. Learn how my curiosity led me to discover my aligned truth and find inspiration for your own path of rediscovery.
I believe it's fitting to start at the beginning of my spiritual awakening journey. What led me to search for answers, and how did I know that this was a spiritual awakening?
Short answer: I just followed my interests and critical thinking and the pieces fell into place.
To be honest, I wasn't actively seeking a path of rediscovery. In fact, my close connection to Christian beliefs prior made me resistant towards it. But my endless "what if" questions that I've been asking my whole life never stopped.
1. Chakras
It was during this time that I stumbled upon the concept of chakras out of the blue. I had heard about them before but never delved into the topic until my curiosity became too much to ignore. The realization that we have energy centers within our body just clicked for me. The essence was always there, but I never knew what it was until then.
I also learned that yoga is a way of harnessing this energy in an intentional way. As a young Christian girl, I was never allowed to do spiritual yoga, and the reasoning behind it didn't make sense to me. However, learning that each energy center correlates to a certain emotion or difficulty, the importance of yoga made perfect sense to me. At the very least, the chakras can be a representation of what’s happening within our being. At this time you didn’t need to tell me that we are made of energy. Science class taught me that!

2. Past Life Regression
A few months later, while thinking about my relationship with God and where my life was headed, I began to contemplate reincarnation as a concept. I was unsure of what I really believed, but the "what if" haunted me. I called a local hypnotherapist who specializes in past life regressions. It took me five months to get an appointment, but in hindsight, divine timing is a sure thing. My experience and after thoughts are detailed here.
3. Karmic Assignments
Around the same time, I began finding valuable perspectives on TikTok. As someone who loves the journaling and analysis process of my own thoughts and influence, any video that resonated with me, I put it in my journal for reference. I came across a video on the subject of "purpose in life," which spoke to me as I was struggling to keep the passion alive in my job. The idea that purpose comes in layers, with each layer being a karmic assignment, made me realize that it's okay to try something different. It could even be part of a greater purpose. 4. Your Thoughts Create Your Reality
I’m going to preface with, I never read books so the fact that I read one cover to cover is astonishing! My coworker and I were having a genuine one-on-one chat about life and she handed me a book she thought I’d enjoy, E-Squared: Nine Do-It-Yourself Energy Experiments That Prove Your Thoughts Create Your Reality by Pam Grout. The book is described as a lab manual with simple experiments that prove reality is malleable, consciousness trumps matter, and you shape your life with your mind. Grout's writing in my opinion, was unbiased and suggested that anyone can achieve tangible results in these experiments regardless of their previous beliefs. Even to this day, my methods of creating my reality are rooted in these experiments.
It's interesting to see the relation between all these pivotal events. They all happened within a few months of each other, naturally and in divine timing. These events have to do with my connection and fascination with energy or trusting my cognitive process. Plus, they are a result of opening up to my curious nature.
Aside from the four points above, my own method of asking myself questions, being receptive to others, my thoughts, and what is happening around me, and pondering on the experiences has proved to be beneficial in finding my aligned truth. I am GRATEFUL for all my interactions and experiences, but more on that another day!
Had me on the edge of my seat, such a pleasure to hear someone else's journey. Especially when its from the perspective of the other side! Thanks for sharing and keep them coming!
